The album churned out the hit singles “Animal I Have Become”, “Pain” and “Never Too Late”. With a successful debut, the band spent the next two years touring nationwide.Ģ006 came the release of their second album “One-X” which explored more of a metal infusion as Three Days Grace continued receiving critical acclaim as the album peaked at number five in the Billboard Top 200. The album featured the singles “Home”, “Just Like You” and the breakthrough track “(I Hate) Everything About You” which rapidly became a radio hit. Later in 2003, the band would release their debut self-titled album which peaked at number nine in the Canadian music charts and certified platinum. In 2003 the band signed with Jive Records. With the label showing remarkable interest and eager to hear more material from the guys, in the process they created the track “(I Hate) Everything About You”. It was Brown who helped them to create the demos which would catch the attention of EMI Publishing Canada. With the relocation, the trio soon became acquainted with local producer Gavin Brown. At the time the line-up consisted of Adam Gontier (vocals, guitar), Neil Sanderson (drums) and Brad Walst (bass). Having run its course under the name Groundswell, members relocated to Toronto, Canada under the new name Three Days Grace in 1997.
